Does Lia wish to chat about anything else specific with Kort? Otherwise he will change the subject onto something general – probably exercise-related – while they’re waiting for the others to arrive for dinner.

He seems genuinely surprised at the depth of feeling Lia is expressing (whether she actually feels like that or not). He nods solemnly, “That’s an unexpected observation.  Alright, I will.”

He turns serious, though a warmth appears in his eyes that Lia has rarely seen in him, “I’m not sure that I can stay on, Lia, or that I want to, but thank you. ...

Can you elaborate a little on what she’s projecting, and, if she’s seeking a particular end in this conversation, what that might be?   Perhaps give me a roll for that as well.

“Why, you going to miss me?” It’s mostly a joke, but maybe not entirely.
