Twilight City is the main settlement on Roseman away from the Downport; home to most of the population.
There is a regular maglev train between the Downport and Twilight City that takes about six tasks – it’s really the only option for travel between the two.
Twilight City is built half-above and half-below ground, much of it nestled into rock that insulates from the cold, but with some windowed structures poking up to allow occasional views of the stars and long, dim shadows over the rocky land outside. Unlike the rather spartan nature of the Downport, some consideration has been given to aesthetics in Twilight City, though the maglev station itself tends to the grimy and makes a poor first impression for visitors. Twilight city is a mix of warren-like corridors interspersed with unexpected open areas, often with overhead windows showing the stars. Sound-deadening carpeted walls in mostly muted colours with hard-wearing rubberised walkways give the corridors an unusually quiet vibe, even when there are other people around. The walls are interspersed with occasional art murals, small signs proclaiming them to be local works. The open areas are frequently brightly painted.
